Kurseong Tourist Lodge

This is a nice mid-range hotel run by the West Bengal Tourist Development Corporation (WBTDC). It is located on the NH-55 (Hill Cart road) that goes all the way up to Darjeeling and is about 1 km away from Kurseong station or the main market.

This is the first hotel to get complete during the high season. The reception is on the ground floor and the rooms are on two lower levels in floors. Government employees work at the reception. I've seen some of the staff here for ages. In fact there has been a person at the reception for more than 22 years.

There's a lovely lobby at the front desk with great outside views. There are essentially two types of rooms - ones with balconies and the others without.
