Siliserh Lake

While going towards the Sariska National Park we can make a stop at the breathtaking Siliserh Lake which is located at the back drop of the Aravali Hills in the state of Rajasthan.

The water of this artificial lake was channeled by Maharaja Vinay Singh in the 19 century to make the adjoining city of Alwar Prosperous.

This beautiful Siliserh Lake is spread over a large area, and it has a Lake palace situated in the middle as its attraction. Like a lake, this outstanding place was also built by the Maharaja, this time for his beloved wife Shila. This was used as a hunting lodge in the earlier times, the Lake Palace has now been converted into a heritage hotel.
