The Elgin Silver Oaks
Lounging in the landscaped gardens in a profusion of colors, one is treated to breathtaking view at the Silver Oaks, Kalimpong. The Silver Oaks was built in 1930 and once belonged to the prominent architect Frederick Desraj who built the old Teesta Bridge.
The bedrooms are set within an atmosphere of greenery, in the heart of Kalimpong. Each room is different with subtle tasteful colors. The rooms are quiet, elegant and expensive.
All rooms at The Elgin Silver Oaks have views across the valley and the Himalayas. The bathrooms include a vanity counter, a bathtub and come with deluxe Elgin designer toiletries. The Hotel is heated in winter. Horses and ponies can be hired for trekking in the valley.
